Our kite spot Lake Resia
Why is the region Passo Resia so suitable for kiting in summer and in winter? Nestled in the mountains, the wind accelerates in exactly the right place. We kite with north wind, which usually starts early in the morning, or with south wind, which slowly builds up around midday.
That’s what you’ll get
A small
kite spot
A mountain lake with small waves in summer, open, snow-covered terrain in winter: your perfect place to learn to kite and wing!
Lots of
space to practice
We'll take you to a quiet place in the spot, both summer and winter, so that you can concentrate entirely on your learning process.
Meadow
for first exercises
If you are a beginner, we will slowly introduce you to kite sport with exercises for steering and safety.

Frequently asked questions
Our students often have similar questions about the course at Lake Resia. You may also find helpful answers here – if not, please feel free to contact us directly.
In summer we’ll meet at the kite station in Curon, in winter we will let you know the exact meeting point a few days before the course, depending on snow conditions. Courses always start at 10:00 a.m.
In summer you will need swimwear, a towel, sunglasses and sunscreen; in winter helmet, skis or snowboard and boots as well as sunscreen. We’ll provide all the kite equipment we’ll need for the course, which is already included in the course price.
In order to learn the basics well and achieve great success, we recommend the intensive course of twelve hours.
The VDWS license proves that you have the necessary knowledge and skills to practice kite sports safely. It must be proven at some kite spots in order to be allowed to kite there and to rent equipment.
During the course, we will document your current driving skills (practical part) and check your specialist knowledge (theory part). Your license will finally be registered online and will be recognized worldwide.
Basically, it makes no difference whether you kite with skis or a snowboard. We recommend the sport that you already practice and that you feel more confident with.
No. You don't have to be a ski or snowboard professional to learn snowkiting. It is enough if you know the basics and have a little experience.
If we can't practice on the kite, we will use the time for theoretical knowledge, answer your questions and complete the VDWS license exam. If we have already done all of this, the course will be postponed until the next day.
If there are still hours open after the booked course days, they will be credited to you and you can redeem them at any time.
