Kite or SUP courses

  1. The student can swim well and is in a good physical condition.
  2. The student is aware that practicing water sports is associated with dangers and assumes the full risk of participating in this course.
  3. The accident insurance of the student pays for any accidents.
  4. The student undertakes to follow the instructions of the instructor. If this is not the case or if the student significantly disrupts the course, he/she can be excluded from the course.
  5. Wearing a helmet and a swim west is compulsory during the course.
  6. In the case of intentional damage to the kite or SUP material, the student is responsible for the damage.

Rental of kite or SUP equipment

  1. The renter can swim well and is in a good physical condition.
  2. The renter is aware that practicing water sports is associated with dangers and assumes the full risk for practicing the kite or SUP sports.
  3. The accident insurance of the renter pays for any accidents.
  4. To rent kite equipment, the renter needs to show the VDWS kiteboarding license level 5 (“riding upwind”) or a comparable license. This is not necessary for renting SUP equipment.
  5. The kite or SUP equipment will be inspected for defects by the renter together with an instructor before and after the rental.
  6. The renter is responsible for any damage to the kite or SUP equipment.

Payment and cancellation of the kite or SUP course or the rental of equipment

  1. The total amount of the course or the rental of equipment is due at the time of booking.
  2. The dates of the course or the rental are specified when booking and are binding.
  3. If the student or renter wishes to withdraw from the contract, he/she must declare this in writing at least two weeks before the appointment.
  4. If the student or renter withdraws from the contract within two weeks before the appointment, the following cancellation fees are due:
    • Cancellation within two weeks before the appointment: 30% of the total amount
    • Cancellation within one week before the appointment: 50% of the total amount
    • Cancellation within two days before the appointment: 80% of the total price
    • Cancellation the day before or the day of the appointment: 100% of the total price
  5. If there are still hours left after the kite or SUP course, the student will receive a voucher. The amount will not be paid in cash.
